We are looking for a candidate to join the team at BeFC to lead industrialisation of technologies, processes, and products
The post holder will be expected to perform staff managerial duties to fulfill the role.

From time to time, the post holder may be asked to assist with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities. This will form part of a substantive role and no additional payment for these activities should be expected.
The ideal candidate will have strong previous experience in supporting a companythrough process scale up and to achieving industrialisation.
1) Ensure industrial limitations are well understood and taken into account during product specification and design
2) Lead a team of industrialisation engineers
3) Provide guidance on manufacturing feasibility and help validate technical choices
4) Ensure design for manufacture and design for cost are incorporated into strategy
5) Monitor efforts and activities across divisions to address company needs
6) Set up, schedule, and monitor industrialisation work packages (person hours, equipment budgets, etc.)
7) Define CAPEX requirements for industrialisation and provide make/buy evaluations
8) Provide technical recommendations for pilot and industrial manufacturing lines
9) Ensure scalability and oversee duplication of production lines / sites
10) Perform overall process planning, capacity planning, assembly line layout and test set-up planning considering target annual volume
11) Build the plan for tooling and other specific manufacturing equipment
12) Manage any subcontracted production if necessary
13) Ensure high reliability and low environmental impact of production processed
14) Assist in identification of new process technologies and associated validation plan
15) Contribute to a continuous improvement action plan
16) Ensure availability of tools and machines on schedule and are consistent with EGS requirements, ergonomics and quality
17) Support cost reduction and quality improvement of existing projects
18) Retrospectively apply new technologies to improve existing lines where appropriate
Graduate with engineering, scientific, management, and/or business-related background (Master’s degree or equivalent)
Minimum 5 year’s experience in a management role
Experience in project management
Knowledge in quality and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)standards
Knowledge of lean production principles, material flow optimisation and continuous improvement processes
Performs under pressure with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines

Organised and rigorous
Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
Critical thinker
Understanding of English language, both written and oral
Minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant department of a manufacturing industry with confirmed ability to drive projects
Experience working with an ERP for bill of materials, etc.
