Job purpose

We are looking for a candidate to join the team at BeFC to lead and conduct functions for planning, managing, controlling, and coordinating talent and culture activities, including interviewing staff, administrating benefits & leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

The post holder will be expected to perform staff managerial duties to fulfill the role.

From time to time, the post holder may be asked to assist with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities. This will form part of a substantive role and no additional payment for these activities should be expected.

Main duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong previous experience in supporting the company in delivering high performance and sustainable growth.

1) Coach, mentor and support staff members

2) Develop a high-performance ethic with a focus on successful outcomes

3) Assist managers in reinforcing performance and growth

4) Implement performance management processes, including regular feedback and evaluation sessions

5) Oversee hiring processes, including onboarding

6) Deploy excellence in employee relations, compliance, training and culture

7) Comply with professional standards, policies, procedures and legislation

8) Continuously improve engagement and welfare, whilst maximising productivity

9) Work with managers to track key performance indicators (KPIs)

10) Address any employee concerns or conflicts in a timely and effective manner

11) Foster an environment of diversity, equality, and inclusion

12) Ensure offboarding process is handled professionally, consistently, and fairly

13) Ensure internal HR communications are well planned and coordinated

14) Demonstrate company values and champion the leadership behaviour framework

15) Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in talent management and culture development

16) Develop and maintain effective relationships to encourage retention and ensure that the team perspective is fully represented in decision making

Specification

Essential Qualifications/ Experience/ Attributes

Graduate with human resources management, psychology, or business-related background (Master’s degree or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR role

Knowledge of employment regulations

Familiarity with professional standards, policies, procedures and legislation

Ability to develop strong relationships and drive collaboration

Excellent understanding of human resources practices

Strong technical and project management capabilities

Meticulous

Take pride in the quality of their work

Organised and rigorous

Ability to coach and mentor

Impeccable interpersonal communication skills

Objective-oriented

Understanding of English language, both written and oral

Desirable Qualifications/ Experience/ Attributes

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role

Experience in monitoring and driving KPIs

Proficiency in HR software and tools for recruitment, performance management, and reporting
