BeFC was selected as a finalist at IMPACT festival, and is recognised for its positive influence on the environment and industries!

At the Impact Festival, it is easy to guess that the key word of the event is impact. Our Sustainability Coordinator, Alexandre Bloch, represented us at the event and hosted the booth that earned BeFC its selection as one of the finalists of the competition! He was there to explain the positive effect that the BeFC can be expected to have in terms of environmental protection, for ourselves and of course for our customers, through the way in which our innovation allows the registration of industries in the energy transition and sustainability.

BeFC: a booth at Impact Festival to promote clean energy

Our sustainability coordinator, Alexandre Bloch, hosted our booth at the event. Impact Festival is the largest B2B meeting and platform that brings together European startups and scale up greentech. The objective was to open, continue and promote the debate on the place of innovation and technology in sustainability, and to give a platform to solutions that allow businesses in particular to adapt and make more respectful choices for the planet. Alexandre works hard on these points in particular, as the role of a sustainability coordinator includes actions on different fronts: not only does he make sure to create the most sustainable product possible, but he also acts through our teams, our technical production lines and with our different partners to encourage change and follow international environmental standards.

Our Sustainability Coordinator, Alexandre Bloch pitched the biofuel cells and the active digital platform at the Impact Festival

At the Impact Festival, he was able to talk about the measures we take internally to have the most ecological product possible. The various tests that proved the recyclability of our battery that creates electricity from organic materials (paper and enzymes), are carried out with his supervision as well as those of independent external bodies. BeFC has successfully demonstrated that even the digital active sensor platform associated with the biofuel cell does not interfere with the recycling of products. This platform paves the way for a generation of electronic objects and is very useful for companies that have a lot of additional information to improve the monitoring of their products, such as pH, blood pressure, vital signs or temperature. Alexandre had a lot of interesting encounters at this mainly B2B event: he met and was inspired by several other green technology startups that use green innovation to provide solutions to businesses, and had the opportunity to exchange with their leaders about the different sustainability measures available. In addition, a large number of business representatives and decision makers were present, and our sustainability coordinator was able to explain to them how BeFCs can help them reduce their environmental impact, position themselves as sustainability pioneers and meet international standards.

BeFC's watchword for B2BS: Impact

At BeFC, we are really happy to see that this will to change the way we consume and interact with our planet's natural resources is really reflected at the industry level: companies feel more and more responsible for the production actions they carry out, and want to offer better products to their end-consumers. This is the same will that animated our co-founders, who from the very beginning of the research leading the conception of the BeFC, have been working on the development of a new sustainable product. They wished to offer an alternative to lithuim batteries and reduce the toxic waste. Alexandre explained how our biofuel battery is the fruit of several decades of research. Thanks to his pitch in front of the Impact Festival jury, in the eyes of a specialised audience of B2B decision makers, innovators and sustainable technology fanatics, BeFC had the chance to be selected as a Finalist of the High Impact Startup Competition!
