Pitching the BeFC biofuel cell at MassChallenge Clean Energy Accelerator

Business developer Sofia Malferrari was recently given the opportunity to visit the Massachusetts Clean Energy Centor – MassCEC. This state economic development agency funds multiple Clean Energy Accelerators and BeFC participated in the MassChallenge program.

BeFC visits Massachusetts Clean Energy Center June 29

On June 29, BeFC visited MassCEC to learn more about the international climate leader’s role in growing the state’s clean energy economy. Massachusetts has established a reputation as a major global clean energy hub. The city is the home of the world’s top green energy companies and many fast-growing innovative startups. MassCEC plays a major role in this cluster and is helping to lead the clean energy economy. The organization aims to accelerate clean energy and climate solution innovations to meet state goals. Their decades of experience in growing this economy have enabled the organization to establish an impressive 86% growth of the sector’s workforce, together with the full or partial funding of 46 000 clean energy projects.  Additionally the organization has received the support of over  900 companies.

BeFC participates in MassChallenge, a Clean Energy Accelerator

MassCEC funds various programs specialized in accelerating the life cycle of emerging companies, and BeFC is happy to announce that its organic biofuel cell was selected to participate in the MassChallenge. This annual accelerator is a major promoter of emerging technology and collaborates with and helps commercialise over 2400 alumni start-ups.

BeFC’s sustainable Bioenzymatic Fuel Cells and its mission to power the future with nature, are fully aligned with the accelerator’s goal to use collaborative innovation to tackle climate change.
